SIM has a variety of courses in different disciplines. It is also a recognized university in Singapore and a very popular choice of uni amongst the locals so that is the reason why I chose SIM. It is also near the train station so it is quite accessible. I would advice students to check out if the universities or the management schools are recognized locally and /or internationally before enrollment.
With a recognized qualification, it should not be hard to be awarded a place in SIM. I went to the exhibition roadshow for course advice and other information. It is quite useful.
I don't get any scholarship and funding, my parents paid my fees in full.
My units I learned in this course are very relevant to the field of commerce because everything is related. Example, finance is related to the economy and learning about finance units, economics, management etc provides a much better understanding of the course itself.
I think Singapore has quite a fast-paced lifestyle. It caters to different types of people, so people like the challenges and some find it stressful. I find that it can be stressful at times but of course, I'm not the only student facing the same problem. And besides, I can get learn how to multi-task and have a better sense of time management. No, I did not join any clubs or other societies.
The economy has greatly affect job prospects but it will eventually pick up again and hopefully, more jobs would be available by the time I graduate.
If you are studying right now or you have completed your studies, then help future students by sharing your experiences.
