As Singapore is quite similar to Malaysia, I find no problem adapting here. The most obvious difference between both countries are the currency. Studying and staying here are at higher cost compared to Malaysia. Looking at the bright side, I enjoy my stay here so far. Studying here is a gateway to a bright future. Parents and prospective students should consider this university. It's a university of good standard and reckoned internationally.
The selection process was tough yet challenging. We have to prove that we are good in both ways, academically and non-academically. Most students here have outstanding results academically, therefore we have to strive for it. I was recommended by a teacher back in Malaysia. The other process, I had my parents to help me out. It's always good to have tour around the university before submitting the application.
I do not know where to find scholarships or funding. I am not exposed to these. The suggestion is that students have to make sure that the family can support them financially before furthering studies.
My course prepares us to be future architects. My course has many plus points as it provides us with opportunities in related fields include interior design, industrial design, industrialized building systems, graphic design, commercial art and architectural journalism. I have at least 3-6 hours per day. It depends on the weighting of the subject. My lecturers have high expectations on us. They offered us with the help needed. I do think it's valued for money.
My university is well equipped with the facilities we need. Other extra things we need, we always have to look outside the university. Singapore is a nice place. I am more independent than before. I have to find ways to go to uni, get food etc. Nonetheless, I always get the help I needed from friends surrounding me. I joined the club for architect students.
Yes. As I mentioned before, there are many fields that architecture students can look into. It's really a good opportunity. I do keep in touch with the seniors I befriend here. They are very helpful in many ways, especially in studies wise. I will certainly keep in touch with them.
