Venue Description:
Air Transport Training College Pte Ltd (ATTC) was established in 1999 as the Professional Development Centre of the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE). Within the Singapore Airworthiness Requirement (SAR) framework regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), ATTC is a SAR Part 147 Approved Maintenance Training Organisation (CAAS Approval No: MTO/002). ATTC has also obtained the Republic of Maldives MCAR-147 and the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority Approved Training Organisation status to provide Part 66 basic knowledge and aviation skills training including the conduct of Part 66 basic knowledge examinations. ATTC is concurrently a Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) Approved Training Organisation (ATO), having been awarded ATO No.00161 since 2 August 2007. Since December 2008, ATTC has been upgraded by WDA and re-designated as a CET Centre (Continuing Education and Training Centre) for the Aerospace industry. Besides being an ISO 9001:2008 quality certified company, ATTC is also the only SAR Part 147 Aviation Training Organisation registered with the Ministry of Education as a Private School. In March 2009, ATTC is bestowed with the Frost and Sullivan's Asia Pacific Aerospace and Defense 2009 Aerospace Technical Training Institution of the Year Award. The College operates 2 facilities: The main campus is located at the eastern part of Singapore at MDIS Building, Changi Road. The second training facility, known as The Skills Centre, is located at the north-eastern part of Singapore at Hangar 151, Seletar Aerospace Park. Apart from hangar workshops offering skills-based training in electrical, electronics and mechanical disciplines within the aviation framework, the centre also houses a Cessna 172 Skyhawk and a fully operational Learjet 25B to enhance the maintenance experience offered at the hangar. The College also operates a full motion flight simulator that's certified by CASA (Australia) for pilot training.
