Course description:

The programme offered in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield, is a practice-based art and design graduate course that offers a route to further research and enables graduates to question and explore the creative process. Its goal is to enable the contemporary arts/design practitioner to enter their profession or industry at the highest level, where they may take leadership, occupy a position central to decision making, and exert an influence beyond their own immediate environment. The course structure encourages the exchange of ideas across multi-art disciplines with a focus on the researcher's domain in visual arts or performing arts, digital media and culture. The aim is to broaden awareness, question boundaries and provoke shifts in perception of the relationship between artistic practice and the social context. The programme is composed of three distinct stages, which not only inform each other but build upon existing experiences towards conceptualisation of creative practice at postgraduate level.
