Course description:
This course aims to develop in students a high level of professional competence as teachers of the Montessori Method of Education to children from 2.5 to 6 years of age. It will give students a deep grounding in the Montessori Principle and Philosophy, basic understanding of child psychology, appreciation and understanding of the teaching aids developed by Dr. Montessori. They learn the knowledge of the Montessori environment and the role of a Montessori directress/director and Knowledge of the Montessori curriculum.
Entry requirements:
Students are assessed on their individual merits but must have obtained at least three GCE ‘O’ levels (or its equivalent). They must have a good standard of both written and spoken English. Students must be at least 17 years of age. Mature candidates aged 23 years and above will be considered on a case to case basis.
