Course description:
This course consists of eight subjects and may be completed in 10 months. The subjects are foundational psychology, counselling theories, counselling skills, counselling ethics, career counselling, group counselling, conflict management and crisis intervention. Each subject will be formally assessed by written assignments (50 per cent) and an examination (50 per cent). Students must attend at least 75 per cent of the classes to qualify for the examination. Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded with the Asia Pacific Management Institute Diploma in Counselling. Diploma graduates can then move on to pursue Advanced Diploma in Applied Psychology and to the bachelor degree programs with one of the prestigious partner universities in Singapore, or certain other prestigious universities overseas.
Entry requirements:
Applicants should have completed GCE 'A' levels or GCE 'O' levels, Higher NITEC or GCE 'N' levels, lower NITEC, or equivalent qualifications.
