Course description:

This course is designed for students to broaden the understand of their community and society as well as prepare themselves for work as counsellors, social workers, policy makers and managers within the private, community, government social service sectors and people-helping fields. It is also for people whose role involve counselling eg. teachers, managers, supervisors, human resource executives, religious leaders and in general, those in the human services who utilize counselling and group work roles in their work.

Entry requirements:

Applicant must possess Diploma in Counselling Skills (awarded by Edith Cowan University); or Diploma in Family Life Education (awarded by Edith Cowan University); or Diploma in counselling related fields from recognised institutions. Applicants who have graduated with the above qualification may gain exemption in units that overlap with the units offered in the Bachelor of Social Science.

They must submit certificates of academic qualifications; academic result transcripts; and two passport size photographs.
