Course description:

The Bachelor of Nursing Program for Registered Nurses is equitable with the education offered on campus at Flinders University Adelaide Australia. With this program, Registered nurses convert their existing Certificate or Diploma Qualification to an internationally recognized Flinders University Bachelor of Nursing Degree by undertaking a 24 months part time study in Singapore. Graduates will not only have the knowledge and skills to apply their research and problem solving skills to improve the healthcare for all, they will also enhance their career in the healthcare sector. The aim of the course is for registered nurses to build on existing knowledge and relate their learning to practice. Students will develop inquiry and learning abilities necessary for practice, research and continued learning. The program of study includes nursing inquiry, applied psychosocial and nursing theories, applied bioscience in Nursing and nursing practice.

Entry requirements:

The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered to nurses who are licensed to practice as a registered nurse within their own country or country of residence. They would hold the following qualifications: a diploma in nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic or an approved institution or a certificate in nursing from the Singapore School of Nursing or its equivalent and one year post registration clinical experience. They should have a current employment as a registered nurse in a healthcare institution in Singapore. Foreign registered nurses will be assessed on a case by case basis.
